There are approximately 26,000 people in the Togher area and the Togher Community Association has been actively and generously supporting the local community for many years. They provide many services ranging from local sports clubs to HSE services. They also provide and maintain a number of community developments such as Clasduv Park, Togher Community Park & Lehenaghmore Development. The aims and objectives of the Togher Community Association CLG are as follows: (a)To establish, promote and operate a community Development Programme which will act as a focus and Catalyst for the Development of the Community in the urban and rural areas of Togher in the City and County of Cork with a view to promoting their Economic/Social and Cultural aspirations and particularly to empower disadvantaged groups to effectively participate in programmes of Personal and social Cultural development. (b)To provide a framework that will associate the statutory and church authorities, voluntary associations and inhabitants of the catchment areas in a common effort for the benefit of the area.
